When are you open?

We are open every day, year-round, excluding major holidays - weather permitting! We generally operate our Robinson R-44 helicopter between the hours of 12PM - 9PM.

 

*Earlier and later time slots are available upon request.

What is the age limit?

There is no age limit, however small babies and children don't always cooperate!  All passengers will have the opportunity to wear noise-canceling headsets - so as to be able to communicate with the pilot and each other. Children up to two years of age may ride in an adult's lap (not recommended!).  FAA regulations require that all other passengers, two years of age and older, have their own seat.

How many passengers does your helicopter accommodate?

Our helicopter has room for three (3) passengers and a pilot - which means EVERYONE gets a "window" seat!

 

Is there a weight limit?

Yes! The total weight limit per seat - is 280 lbs. The total weight of all passengers may not exceed 560 lbs. The pilot will always have the last say as to who may fly, and for balance issues - may even determine passenger placement (i.e. - front or back).

 

Is it safe for pregnant women to fly?

Yes. Helicopter flight will not induce labor, etc.*

 

* HOWEVER - The FAA asks that all woman who are at least 6 months pregnant - not board ANY aircraft (in case of an emergency!).

 

How far in advance do I need to book my flight?

In an ideal world, you would book here on our website one or two weeks in advance. (Weekend time slots will fill up more quickly.) Please try to book at least 24 to 48 hours in advance.

 

We accept online bookings up until midnight the night before. We do take same-day reservations but booking a flight isn't guaranteed.  We also accept reservations for up to one year in advance.

 

Can the helicopter doors be removed?

Not for tours! We prefer to keep all of our doors on. Our helicopter is quite comfortable - and is equipped with air conditioning and heat, custom leather seats, bubble windows for greater visibility, and voice-activated headsets.

 

Can I bring my camera?

Yes - you may take all the personal pictures and videos you desire! Small bags and purses are permitted. Because of weight limitations, we do not allow any big bags or large backpacks.

* Videography / Photography for professional production is not allowed.

 

Do I need an ID on me?

YES! To board our aircraft - every adult will be required to present a government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, etc.

 

How do I book a tour?

The quickest and best way to book your tour is to go to our "TOURS" page. There - you will be able to find the details on our tour options, pricing, and availability. Payment in full - by verified credit card - is required at time of booking. Please call us directly if you have any questions or in need of assistance.

What happens if there is bad weather?

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT! We do not fly in the rain - and we are not allowed to leave the ground if there are thunderstorms in the general vicinity. (Lightning may strike up to ten miles from a thunderstorm.)

 

If your flight is cancelled due to weather issues - then you will have the opportunity to reschedule your flight for another day/time or simply ask for a full refund. Refunds may take seven to ten days to process.

What happens if I need to cancel my flight?

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • You may cancel or reschedule your helicopter tour flight for any reason - up to 48-hours from the originally scheduled flight time.

  • If you cancel your flight within 48-hours of your scheduled departure time - there will be a 10% booking cancellation fee.

  • There is no charge for rescheduling your flight.

  • Failure to show or to notify us in advance will automatically cancel your tour and forfeit the full amount of your purchase.

  • National Helicopter Solutions reserves the right to cancel or terminate any or all scheduled helicopter tour flights due to weather, safety, maintenance, security, or unforeseen event. A full refund will be offered - should we have to do so.

NOTE:  It is your responsibility to bring up any questions or concerns regarding our cancellation policy when booking your flight. See your flight confirmation for cancellation details. Gift certificates are non-refundable.
